Michael Nolan


President and Chief Executive Officer

Michael Nolan was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Terra Nova Financial Group, Inc. in August 2006 and has held the role of President of Terra Nova Financial, LLC since May 2006. Under his leadership, Terra Nova emerged from a period of transition and restructuring to record healthy revenue streams, driven by sound operations and a strong customer base. Part of the Terra Nova organization since 1997, Mr. Nolan served as Chief Operations Officer from 1999, leading key initiatives including the introduction of futures and options trading and the firm’s conversion to self clearing. Previously, he held positions with financial institutions Archipelago, Chicago Partnership Board, Man Financial, Geldermann Securities and A.G. Edwards. Mr. Nolan is a Director of the Judd Goldman Adaptive Sailing Foundation, Chicago and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University.

Jerald Kallas


Managing Director

Jerald G. Kallas brings more than 25 years of trading and sales experience to his role leading Terra Nova’s client acquisition and retention activities for the active trader, hedge fund and money management market segments. From 1980-2005, Mr. Kallas was a partner with the Institutional floor brokerage firm Engelman Securities, which was acquired by E-Trade Financial in 2002. Mr. Kallas was a member of the Chicago Stock Exchange and during his tenure served on various committees with the Exchange. Mr. Kallas is a member of the Securities Traders Association of Chicago, Board of Directors Member of the Wall Street Committee for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a Member of St. Xavier University Advisory Council. Mr. Kallas has a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Xavier University.

Cris Doloc, Ph.D.


Chief Technology Officer

Cris Doloc applies the unique combination of trading experience, quantitative science background and software expertise to his position as Terra Nova's CTO. In this role, he leads the development of advanced systems and strategies for the financial markets. Prior to joining Terra Nova in 2007, he served as President and CEO of Quantras Research Ltd., an R&D firm specializing in platform development for electronic and quantitative trading. His 18 years of professional experience also includes roles with electronic trading firms including Townsend Analytics, Goldenberg & Hehmeyer and Ritchie Capital Management. Previously he held research and teaching positions in areas such as nonlinear phenomena and thermonuclear physics. He holds a Ph.D. in Plasma Physics from Université d'Orleans, France and a M.Sc. from the University of Bucharest.

Raymond Burley


Chief Operations Officer

As the COO of Terra Nova Financial, LLC, Raymond Burley draws on expertise in operations, financial reporting, compliance and audits to direct the delivery of Terra Nova's exceptional back office functionality, including oversight of the design, implementation and maintenance of its proprietary clearing system. Mr. Burley has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services and brokerage industries, including roles as COO of full-service investment management and brokerage firm Romano Brothers & Company and COO and CFO of options market maker Cutler Group, LP. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Illinois University and has earned FINRA Series 7, 24 and 27 accreditations.
